3 Wedding Venues in Moab

Getting Married in Moab

Planning a destination wedding in Moab can be tough as there aren’t many venues that host more than a very small guest count. As Moab wedding planners ourselves, we thought we’d share some of our favorite Moab wedding venues with you to help ease your search…

The Hoodoo Hotel

The Hoodoo Hotel is located right in the heart of Moab and is absolutely stunning.  Whether you want to host the wedding or  rehearsal, reserve a block of rooms for your guests or all of the above, Hoodoo Hotel is the perfect place for it.

K & D hosted a stunning cocktail hour for their guests while they adventured with their photographer for sunset photos.  Guests were greeted with a full bar and hor d’oeuvres provided by Josie Wyatt’s Grill (the onsite restaurant at the Hoodoo).  Once K & D made it back to Hoodoo guests were ushered from the cocktail hour space to the reception space for more cocktails, dinner and dancing. Beautiful rented details were brought in to help create a very Gatsby-esque event in the heart of the Moab desert.

Red Earth Venue

This gorgeous venue is located 15 miles outside of Moab and tucked in between three incredible national parks and offers 360 degree views of all the beauty that southern Utah and the Moab area has to offer.  Offering a blank pallet amongst such an unreal backdrop, the Red Earth Venue really allows couples to create the event of their dreams. The Red Earth Venue is the perfect space to host your rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and/or reception.

C & F were able to create a one-of-a-kind event in the middle of the desert and had Josie Wyatt’s (The Hoodoo Hotel restaurant) come out to Red Earth Venue to cater. This wedding was featured on Brides.com and I am sure you can see why! With a musical performance, fire dancer, a fireworks show, and fabulous décor this couple was able to create the event of their dreams!

Whispering Oaks Ranch

Want to have a summer wedding in Moab and beat the heat? Check out Whispering Oaks Ranch! This gorgeous venue is located just 40 minutes from Moab and surrounded by the La Sal Mountains providing epic views of the canyonlands and temperatures up to 20 degrees cooler than the town of Moab.  Whispering Oaks Ranch even offers lodging right on site for and your guests!

K & B wanted to have a destination wedding and planned this event from the Bay Area.   It was important to them that they found a venue that allowed all guests to stay on site to enjoy a full weekend of fun and celebration. Which made Whispering Oaks Ranch the perfect venue for them!

Where can we go for stunning nature bridal photos in Moab?

If you’re getting married in Moab, it is an absolute must to get some photos taken!  The scenery is truly impeccable year-round.  Working with a local photographer is a great way to get access to the different landscapes and picturesque spaces that Moab has to offer.  Some of our favorite Moab photographers are Emily Klarer and Angela Hays.  Some of our couples opt to sneak away during cocktail hour for a real glowy, sunset photoshoot. Others choose to have a shoot a day before or after the wedding, using the entire day to explore and get those truly Instagrammable shots.

*Because Moab is such a special place, be sure you to check for any sort of permit laws before trudging into the desert for even a small ceremony and/or photo session.
