A beautiful September wedding
If you are looking for a beautiful, green, laid-back hidden gem in Grand Junction for your wedding, look no further than Willow Pond Bed & Breakfast. Their backyard is full of trees, beautiful green grass, and various areas to host a quaint summer wedding with shade. We were so happy to serve as their day of wedding coordinator.
We got to work with this amazing couple- C&A for their early September wedding at Willow Pond. We loved their laid-back style and that they wanted to provide a great experience for their guests.
The day started HOT, but luckily we were fully shaded in the backyard as we set up tables and chairs. We didn’t provide full planning services for this wedding, but we did act as the couple’s day of wedding coordinator. So we arrived early, set up our dinner layout, placed decorations and pieces like the Jenga guest book, and helped Becca at Country Elegance place flowers where they needed to go.
While we were outside getting the space ready, C, the bride, was inside the bed & breakfast getting glammed up by Allure Beauty Bar’s bridal team. Meanwhile, A and his groomsmen were upstairs kicking back and playing Mario Kart. Basically, it was the perfect day to get married.
First look & the ceremony
Our amazing photographer, McKenzie Deakins, kept the mood light and fun through the entire day. She captured a beautiful first look with C&A, bridal party photos, a few family photos, and then it was time to hide away before the ceremony started.
Everyone got a few minutes to relax before we lined up and started the procession. The sun was shining, the guests were happy, and the bride was excited and ready to go. Our procession went smoothly and the couple’s friend delivered a personal and beautiful ceremony.
The party
Dinner was excellently delivered by Chez Lena. They served up hot stations with sliders, fresh salads, and so much more. Our guests stayed cool with tasty beverages provided by Fisher’s Liquor Barn.
After dinner we toasted, cut the delicious cake by Be Sweet Bakery, and danced to jams by Michael from Ryan Griz Entertainment. After everyone was properly distracted, C&A even got to slip away for some sunset photos with McKenzie & the guys from 14K Media.
The day overall
We loved every minute of this wedding. Our couple was incredibly sweet & so in love. Their families and friends were happy to share in the festivities and loved the overall environment, food, and drink.
The vibe was laid back, somewhat casual, yet refined. Our farmhouse table rentals from Elite Events enhanced our outdoor feel, and the florals were a beautiful accent.
If you are looking for a beautiful backyard wedding feel with more greenery than you usually find in Grand Junction, Willow Pond Bed & Breakfast is definitely your venue!
