Best Wedding Venues in Moab
Maybe you’ve seen beautiful photos on Instagram, or maybe you just love the desert, but really there are a million great reasons to get married in Moab! If you’ve landed here, you’re probably researching the in’s and out’s of getting married in this amazing location, since it is so remote and since it is (really) such a small town. Here we go through the best wedding venues in Moab, Utah.
Well the good news is that we are here to help you by giving you information about our favorite places to tie the knot in Moab, UT.
HOODOO MOAB
We want to start our journey with a newer option to Moab, Hoodoo Moab, a Curio Colleciton by Hilton. This venue is a hotel and venue, offering your guests an incredible place to stay, and offering you a beautiful ballroom to host your reception. If it’s convenience you’re looking for, then this might just be the place for you!
This hotel is situated right downtown, within easy walking distance to all the best Moab restaurants and shops. Not only that, but they have an on-site restaurant, Josie Wyatt’s Grille, where you and your guests can enjoy meals surrounding your big day.
You can either host your ceremony on site, of you can transport your guests off-site to a beautiful, desert location for your vows. After the ceremony, the ballroom at Hoodoo is a beautiful place for a wedding reception in Moab. The space is modern, open, and can fit up to 180 guests. You are provided the basics of tables and chairs, and you can bring in the rest of your decor from nearby rental companies like Kosi Rentals (our sister company!), Elite Events, or Moab Event Services.
Check out a wedding at Hoodoo that we helped to coordinate! Their ceremony was off-site, then they hosted an over-the-top celebration in the ballroom at Hoodoo! As you can see from these photos, this is definitely one of the best wedding venues in Moab.
THE RED EARTH VENUE
Let’s be honest, you probably already know about this venue, right? While it is also new to the scene in Moab, it is ran by a veteran to the Moab wedding scene, Angela Hays of Angela Hays Photography. It is located on the last piece of private property on the way to Canyonlands National Park and Dead Horse Point. If you are looking for a unique and Insta-worthy desert backdrop, this is it.
The Red Earth Venue (and us!) have been featured on Brides, Carats and Cake, and one of our weddings with them even won the 2022 Favorite Wedding award on Junebug Weddings!
There are two locations at Red Earth to choose from – their desert platform location and their glass pavilion. Can’t decide? Book both!
THE PLATFORM
The desert platform offers a unique and inspiring view for your wedding guests, tucked far back from the road and giving the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere. They do have a generator, but this Moab wedding location does require that you bring in additional power, water, restrooms, and basically that you build your venue from scratch. The good news is that this path makes for a completely unique wedding experience in Moab for you and your guests!
Check out some photos below to see an over-the-top wedding we helped to host at Red Earth Venue.
THE GLASS PAVILION
The glass pavilion is situated closer to the road, but offers all of the amenities that you might be searching for in Moab for your wedding day. It is encased in large glass windows, allowing guests to feel outside, while being protected and inside. There’s even air conditioning! This location has a beautiful ceremony location with incredible views, so it’s no sacrifice to book this space only. There are also indoor bathrooms, electricity inside with chandeliers, beautiful Edison lights outside, and a catering kitchen. This location also offers you the option to rent all of your tables and chairs, which are all wood and offer a great base for any decor.
Check out a wedding we hosted at the glass pavilion!
USING BOTH SPACES
Can’t decide which space is better for you? You can use both! Many of our couples choose to host their ceremonies at the platform, then their receptions at the glass venue. Check out some photos of a wedding that did just that.
WHISPERING OAKS RANCH
The final amazing Moab wedding venue on our list is Whispering Oaks Ranch. This venue is very different from the first two, in that it is located in the La Sal Mountains and surrounded by green. It overlooks the beautiful red desert below, but boasts cooler temperatures in the summer, when the desert below is too hot to accommodate outdoor celebrations!
The venue space at Whispering Oaks Ranch is an open air pavilion that can fit up to 150 guests. It offers tables and chairs for your guests included in the rental fee, and you can even use much of their decor and linens! Their ceremony site has an incredible mountain view, and the entire pavilion is surrounded by green grass, and even a playground a short distance away for kiddos.
Not only is this a great wedding venue in Moab, but it also offers lodging! It has seven cabins on site that can sleep up to 65 of your guests, making logistics that much easier.

CEDAR BEND CABIN
Hosting a smaller gathering of 30 or less? You might be able to host your event all at Cedar Bend Cabin, the largest cabin. It has enough space to seat your guests upstairs, and the numerous balconies offer many places to host your ceremony.
No matter where you choose to get married in Moab, the scenery and views are sure to delight your guests and offer you the most incredible wedding backdrop.
