Driving through Glenwood Springs on a warm summer afternoon earlier this year, Nikki & I couldn’t help but be excited for the upcoming wedding at T Lazy 7 Ranch. We were excited for a number of reasons…

We got to escape the heat for the weekend by traveling up to around 8,000 ft.
Our incredible wedding venue was located just at the base of the Maroon Bells.
Our bride & groom were super cool and so laid back.
We got to meet a list of new (and amazing) vendors and help to put together an amazing day.

Rehearsal at T Lazy 7 Ranch

After we checked in to our Snowmass hotel, we headed out to the ceremony site at T Lazy 7 before the rehearsal so we could get a lay of the land. What greeted us was a one-of-a-kind view, beautiful green grass and plenty of flowers.

We started the weekend with a rehearsal more lively than most others with a rowdy bridal party, roaming dogs, and good cheer all around. The flower dog, Layla, even put on an incredible show during her first pass down the aisle, taking her flower petal basket on a joy ride around the meadow.

The Wedding Day at T Lazy 7 Ranch

The wedding day itself started with blue skies and just the perfect temperature (high 70’s perfection). We headed up to our wedding at T Lazy 7 bright and early to begin set-up and help vendors in any way we could. Our set-up ran smoothly and before we knew it, it was show time.

Our ceremony space was in the meadow, set with the Maroon Bells perfectly towering in the background. Wild flower arrangements by the incredibly talented Siloh Floral lined the aisle leading up to an incredible organic floral & greenery arch. After our guests were bussed in and sat with a cold beverage in hand, the bridal party arrived, carted in by the T Lazy 7’s friendly staff. The walk down the aisle was long, but with scenery that beautiful and the mountain set perfectly in the background, it only helped to enhance the mood.

Layla, our flower dog performed perfectly, and our bride, S, beamed as she walked down the aisle with both her mom and dad.

Formalities concluded and a meaningful ceremony officiated by a friend, the party was set to begin. Having gone to many weddings before, the bride & groom knew that their favorite part of weddings was the cocktail hour. For that reason, we built their timeline with an extended cocktail hour that included time for both family photos and plenty of time to relax and chat with their guests.

Dinner by European Caterers and toasts and first dances assisted by DJ Jay One went beautifully before the party really began. Our DJ, DJ Jay One, got everyone on the floor early and kept them dancing ALL NIGHT LONG. We don’t see many weddings with as much bumping and jumping as this one!

Donuts from Coloradough and a delicious late night snack of a burger & fries from European Caterers kept the guests happy and well fed, even as they boogied late into the night.

The beautiful (and safely executed!) sparkler send-off concluded the night at midnight as guests shuttled into school busses (so much fun!) and headed back towards civilization.
